Błażej Osowski, Ph.D., a dialectologist and a Polish and Czech scholar. Academic interests: contemporary and historical dialectology, linguistic geography, subdialects online, researchers’ cooperation with the local communities in documenting subdialects. Since 2018, in charge of project 0060/NPRH7/H11/86/2018 Regionalne słowniki tematyczne języka mieszkańców Wielkopolski – powiaty gnieźnieński i koniński (Regional thematic dictionaries of the language spoken in Wielkopolska, Gniezno and Konin counties). Earlier (2017-2018) in charge of the Regional language module as part of the Cool-Tour. Młodzi badacze regionu 2.0 (Cool-Tour. Young researchers in region 2.0, (WND-POWR.03.01.00-00-C056/16) project and an academic teacher in the Dziedzictwo kulturowe / Kultura ludowa (Cultural heritage / Folk culture) project aimed at compiling a multi-media guide Gwary polskie / Polish Subdialects ()entries related to Wielkopolska).

Co-editor of the series Język w regionie, region w języku ()The language in a region, a region in the language); member of the editorial staff of “Gwary Dziś” and “Porównania” journals. Member of the Society of Enthusiasts of the Polish Language, the Dialectology Committee and the Linguistic Bibliography Committee at the International Committee of Slavists.
